Simon Theaker

Hi, I am Simon Theaker, the Director of Open House Coakley & Theaker Estate Agents.

Together with two former partners, who have now both retired, I set up the business in 1996.

I have had over 35 years experience in estate agency, in both corporate and independent firms, with most time spent in and around Bury St Edmunds, but also having worked in Sudbury, Hadleigh and Haverhill.

I offer a full and totally bespoke personal and friendly service to my clients, overseeing the entire sales transaction from start to finish, together with ensuring that you will receive honest advice every step of the way.

Clients and buyers feel confident they are being dealt with by someone who has up to the minute knowledge of their sale or purchase circumstances and this can help to alleviate much of the stress relating to selling and buying property.

Some personal stuff

Having been born in Derbyshire, the family relocated to Suffolk, due to my father taking a new job opportunity.

I was educated in West Suffolk and embarked upon a career in Estate Agency, after completing A'levels.

Having a considerable interest in natural history, the environment and conservation, our family are members of the RSPB and National Trust. I can often be found with my wife and three children in various nature reserves and parks, with our binoculars, cameras and boots, enjoying long walks, seeking out and appreciating the wildlife.

Participating actively in racquet sports, including badminton, tennis and table tennis to club and league level, less strenuous interests include playing snooker to league level and a keen interest in cars - driving not mechanical!

I aim to bring our children up appreciating the same values as myself and am delighted that they have also absorbed a similar interest in the natural world, together with sports, much of which I can actively enjoy with them.
